A-Level Work

This drawing was part of my initial research for a project that was based on the RHS flower show. I like working with biro as you are unable to erase it, persoanlly i think this helps me improve on my drawing skills.

These two images were taken again as part of my intitial research for the same project as above. Both are edited using Photoshop, I did this to enhance the vibrant colours and to give me the best possible information to work from.

The screen print above was something that I was experimenting with, I wanted the print to be free and expressive so I created this design byt holding the paint brush at the very end and keeping it on the screen, this gave me a loose approach and this was the outcome. Screen printing became one of my favourite processes as it is completely unpredictable therefore the outcome is different every time.

The outcome of this project had to be a dress made solely out of paper so from my research and inspiration from the photographer Ori Gersht (http://crggallery.com/artists/ori-gersht/) I came up with a design that I felt was fun, expressive and exciting. These images are of the toiles that I created before making the final piece.

This was the outcome I created for the project, it proved to be challenging working entirely with paper and particular methods of printing were unsuccessful on the paper such as my beloved screen printing so I created a foam print which gave the same effect I was hoping to achieve.

After having created the dress I got the fantastic oppertunity to exhibit my work at the prestigious RHS Flower show at Tatton Park, along with other members of my class.

Very proud!
